Came here hungry on a Friday night and it wasn't busy. Was welcomed immediately, our server was very kind. I came with 2 other people and we shared all the dishes. Starting off I ordered the Thai iced tea which comes in a pretty big cup which was delicious! For appetizer we shared the chicken sa-tae which was juicy and paired well with the sauces. We then had the pad see ew and omg it was too good, we finished it within 5 min. Lowkey wished we ordered another one! After that we had the pad Thai which of course you can't go wrong, it was on the tangier side. I prefer the pad see ew over this but it was still pretty good! We then shared the green curry and the Panama curry (not pictured). Both were very flavorful and were served with rice. Everything came out pretty quickly and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place!

WOW! If you're looking for fair prices and chef-made Thai food, Thai Gulf in Huntington Beach is the place to be! This family-owned gem prides itself on having absolutely NO MSG in any of their dishes, which is a huge plus for health-conscious diners - especially for myself because MSG triggers migraines. The menu is filled with standout dishes, but some of my favorites were the massaman curry, Tom yum soup, soft shell snow crab curry. And you absolutely can't leave without trying one of their desserts. The sweet mango sticky rice is a Thai classic, but they also have unique ones like fried banana roti and their newest addition, thai tea bingsoo! We visited for dinner, but it's worth noting that they offer great Lunch Specials until 3 PM. These specials come with a FREE Thai iced tea, lemonade, or soda with your meal (making it an even better deal!) Highly recommend Thai Gulf!

The staff here was friendly. We went recently to celebrate my birthday/Mother's Day. I love authentic Asian food, the ones where you eat with your bare hands. My favorite was the papaya salad with blue crab. It was my first time trying marinated raw blue crab with papaya salad. But the crab was cooked in perfection in lime, it doesn't have the fishy smell. Hubby ate everything we ordered and baby really enjoyed the desserts. We also love the appetizers. Will definitely come here again. Hopefully soon. I'm already craving for papaya salad again hehe Also the staff were really friendly, she gave us complimentary free ice cream to celebrate my birthday. =)

My last review for this spot was 14 years ago. We used to come here often. Friendly owners, tons of freebies liked mango slices, or fried bananas and we loved the food. Then one day we dined inside and asked for medium spice on our dishes and we were just devastated by how spicy our meal was. Our daughter was in tears and we stopped coming. Over the next, gulp, 14 years, we tried a ton of local Thai places, always making sure we asked for mild spice level. We educated ourselves and fell in love with Thai food again. We even went to Thailand last year. With all of the experimentation in the area, I simply forgot about this place. Well, last night my wife called me on her way home from work and asked me to call in a takeout order. I thought this place needed another tryout and it would be a quick in and out for her. I placed the order over the phone and it was ready on time. Also very well packaged which was appreciated. The Chicken Sa Tae, Pork Larb and Shrimp Pad-Prig-King were ordered at a spice level 1 and all dishes were simply delicious. We added our own romaine lettuce to the larb and made a wonderful lettuce wrap. No extra freebies but the food was just great.

This restaurant is tucked in between many other business and has beautiful Thai decorations with an extensive menu of great Thai food. We came in for Friday dinner and the restaurant was empty. We sat down and ordered immediately. The pad Thai noodles were cooked great. It had great flavor and a hint of spice that made it tasteful. The boat noodles were also really good. It had a nice heat to it, and the meat was cooked really well. The Thai iced coffee was strong and had great flavor. The crying tiger was a bit over cooked. We wanted it to be more medium. The dipping sauce was good and the texture wasn't too bad. I know other places make it pretty chewy- but it is good here. I will say, they definitely pressure you to post a review and it's pretty awkward. But the food was pretty good, I'd come again.

It's been years since I last went to Thai Gulf. It seems that it's been through some changes. They used to have condiments on the tables and had a lunch special menu but they don't have them anymore. Their menu is just printed on white paper, which was disappointing. Food is still good though.

Went for an early dinner for 2 at this spot for the first time. It got packed really quickly so I would go for less common times! The service is great and attentive and the portions are huge. Foodwise, Pad thai chicken (5/5) - Noodles cooked to perfection and the sauce distributed really well. Papaya salad (5/5) - This was actually quite spicy but it did not fail to hit the spot. Tom Yum Noodles (5/5) - Also a great pick. The noodles were just so plentiful and the soup flavored well, without being too salty I would definitely recommend for someone looking for a family-oriented thai spot!
